Need Help/advice Please..

I let my car battery die and then had to jump start it but now when i try to start it the alarm light starts flashing and on the dash it says 'high engine temperature' then 'engine system fault' it wont turn over or anything, going to get a new battery today as the current one dies after about 2/3 days if the car hasnt moved, my car is a ford fiesta zetec s 1.6 petrol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I hope you didnt damage anything when jumping it. Hopefully its just the old battery is knackered and the new one will sort it.
