TCC Posted May 10, 2012 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Have a new Focus edge and find that the bottom inch or so of the windscreen is distorted. Have had it replaced by dealer but same with new windscreen. Ford admit the distortion but say it is within tolerance (they would wouldn't they). No problem 99% of the time but going up hill into left hand bend can be dangerous. All cars in dealers showroom have same problem except those with demister windscreens. johnH Posted May 11, 2012 Share Posted May 11, 2012 i suppose it comes down to visibility such as chips...if its within the drivers eye level it will fail an MOT...even with it filled. but because its not they dont have a legal obligation until a few accidents are reported as that being the problem.
