hi everyone i have got a 2002 mk 5 fiesta zetec s 1.6 and i went to start the car and didnt relise it was in gear stupidly and now it wont start im thinking it is probably the starter motor?

Get the solenoid checked.
Is the car turning over at all or is there just clicking when you turn the key?
If it's trying to turn over you may have damaged teeth on the flywheel or solenoid, if not then you may have burned the solenoid out or jammed it.
A clicking noise would be the solenoid trying to move but sticking.
