When you are low on fuel, you will get a "beep" and a amber icon warning in the speedo area (it looks like a fuel pump). This will only appear when the trip computer think's you have less than 50 miles of fuel.

Just checked my Fiesta, and i have the same icon. It's always been there so really, it's nothing to worry about.

Fuel because its on the MPG screen and the symbol means average (as opposed to the other screen which is current).

As what Colin said...it shows you what your current MPG is while your driving...

How do you get screen to show mpg like that , with mine I have to flick through to show each one ie: mpg, miles till empty etc.

As far as I know, the picture above is the only mpg option..u have 1 option which shows average speed...another option which shows mpg (pic above) and 1 option which shows the miles you've done since you last reset the counter.

The picture the OP has is the "3 line" display from early MK7 Fiesta's. We had a topic about this some time ago, and found out Ford changed over to a "2 line" display in 2009/10.

That explains it. Thanks.
