Had my 08 plate 2.0 zetec a week - finding it excellent. However, started it up yesterday and there was a warning saying "engine malfunction". Drove the car a 1/4 of a mile but it was limiting the revs and hence speed was kept low. Stopped, turned the car off, waited a minute or so and tried again. All was well and no problems since. What's this all about?
PS - I had just pressure washed the car - could this be linked?
