afternoon all

Please help. if any ideas.

i have a 06 plate focus with the rounded 3 button key fob.

when trying to unlock the car it takes a few times of pressing the button before anything happens and when the doors sound like they unlock only the drive door acutally unlocks. i then have to press the unlock button a few more times to get the other doors to unlock.

also have the issue when locking the doors but they do all lock together eventually.

i have chaged the battery in the fob but still the same problem.

does it mean i need a new fob? are just reprogram the key? are maybe somethin else?

I'd start by reprogramming the fob, the central locking coding can wander with time or after a battery change.
Your drivers door unlocking first and then the rest is the standard two phase unlock cycle also known as the anti hijack routine, it stops unwanted persons opening the passenger doors as you unlock the car (I call it the annoyed wife system).
