Hi From Holland

Hi all,

My name is Willem and I live in Holland, in Hekelingen to be exact, not far from Rotterdam. Today we bought a Fiesta1.25 in Titanium trim, not sure if that model is available in the UK at all but it has full specs, apart from leather and heated seats. The car is only 4 months old, has just 1100 kms on it, roughly 600 miles, so it was a quick decision. Only setback, in my opinion, the rather weak engine. So I want to know if chip tuning would be worth the trouble. I hope enough Ford specialists are around here who can inform me. Ford doesn't give any information on this, but given the fact that both versions have the same engines it comes down to simple chip tuning.....or? Point is that the 60ps version doesn't have enough power for overtaking in critical situations. It is that the offer was just too good to refuse. Anyone here who can shine some light? Just too many opinions on Dutch fora, useless. And the UK is a real Ford Island......judging from my experiences while being in your beautiful country!

Hi well as far as I'm aware you're correct in they have the same engine, however I'm not sure if it's a remap that is the difference or maybe some physical restriction in the intake or exhaust. This could be possible but nobody in the web has a clue

This thread was started three & a half years ago . . . anyhow . . chipping this 60 ps n / a engine is a waste of money - even the 80 ps / bhp version is pretty gutless.

Great engines, reliable, tried & trusted - just not built for speed or modification
