JonM
Hi All, I had a day off work, and so I thought I would look at using the various cleaning products I bought recently look after my car. Here are the results.. Although, my arms are now suffering from sunburn without realising! Enjoy! Yes this is a generic picture thread, but never the less comments are welcome. (But not to complain it is a picture thread :) )

SportyChick
Looks great. Hopefully that'll give me the motivation to crack on and give mine a spit & polish, either that or i'll resort to bribing my better half ;-)

ManxKat
oooh please come over to the Isle of Man!!!! I wish I had that motivation! I have loads of little black specks on mine, think it's tar spots or something, can you recommend anything to get them off?
Marcr1
Meguiars ultimate compound. It's a bit pricy but it removes any paint imperfection

Mark M.K
Nice to see a few good Dodo Juice products :) Always gives a good finish. HD wax is also a very good product. Have you tried Purple Haze? It's amazing on dark colours. @ Manxkat, have you tried clay baring your car? If that fails, try a tar and glue remover, but remember to apply a top protection after doing that. Marcr1
hmmm, this involves hardwork yus? No none what so ever you put a tiny blob on a cloth and rub the area a couple of times and it just disappears. I used it on my friends car who got side swiped and the scuff marks disappeared straight away. I use it for getting grit off the paint work. Amazing for such little effort. Highly recommend it
jmbrown91
Looks great, I would gladly pay you to clean my car like that! I haven't got the time or patience for that

Marcr1
110% it will work, I use it for mine. amazon or eBay would be the cheapest. But Halfords sell it for about 拢9 I think

But halfords sell it for about 拢9 I think I found it for a fiver on amazon but they wanted another fiver delivery!! I am gonna give it a go though, a tenner isn't totally crazy for over here so will just get it locally.
DanGull
While I'm sure using a polishing compound to remove tar spots works - it's not the best method at all. As Mark suggested, use a clay bar. Many people are scared of the idea of clay (including Mark at one point ) but it's dead easy. Polish is for removing imperfections by removing trace a mounts of clear coat - it is not designed to remove contaminants such as tar or iron fallout which stick to the clear coat . If you want a dead easy way - I recommend Car Pro TRIX. It's a dedicated tar/fallout remover and just sprays on.
JonM
I definitely agree with clay barring it. Its not hard, just make sure you use enough lubricant or you will just leave clay everywhere. This way will leave your paintwork very smooth and an ideal surface to polish/wax. If you have got lots of tar on there, get a dedicated tar/bug/fallout remover. ManxKat
Thanks for all the input (and sorry for de-railing the thread!) I think I will go for the Car Pro Trix, and then try clay bar if I am not happy with that :)
