Hi am hoping someone can help me because I have drawn a blank at several Ford garages! I have a 51 plate Galaxy and would like to know how to deactivate the motion sensor. All the garages keep saying is press the remote lock just once but I can assure this doesn't work. Anyone...............

Usually there is a button on the interior Although my car is completly different my switch for this is next to the drivers door handle

Although looking around the interweb people also suggest using the key to lock the car (double lock) with no alarm

Thanks for reply but there isn't a button and locking the car with the key doesn't work either as I have tried that many t imes. There has to be a way surely?! if not it's a terrible design fault.

If you want to permanently deactivate this look between the front doors and the back doors on either side of the car, the sensors are inside the plastic trim (B pillar), prise it away enough to get behind, quite easy to do, then pull the plug on the sensors. The immobilisor is still ok and the alarm will still work if the car doors are opened or ignition is tampered with. The only facility you lose is the motion detection within the car, you can just plug them in again if need be.

Also looking on the web i found this information-

To deactivate the motion sensor, have a look though the menu operated by the right hand button on the steering wheel. That gives you the option to disable the interior alarm either as a default or you can set it to ask you each time you turm off the ignition.

Hope this helps in some way.
