Installing Front Fog Lights And Switch [Mk6]

Hey actually this thread was originally asking a question not a guide. It's quite easy to fit fog lights.

You have to buy the correct switch which has the option for front fogs. If you have a pre-facelift it's a rounded switch whereas the facelift is much more square. You undo the panel below the drivers footwell and you can then push the current switch inwards and then down to disconnect it before putting your new one in. It's quite awkward.

Obviously you need to buy the actual lamps with bulbs. A lot of facelift bumpers have plastic inserts which you can swap out for ones with a hole for the fog lamps. On pre-facelifts with the two-part black plastic bumper at the bottom I don't think it is possible to cut those out so I think you would need a new front bumper in this shape which as you can see has cutouts for fogs - get from either eBay or a scrapyard:

Regarding the connection I only know about the pre-facelift. There is a loom tied to the side of the radiator which you plug the connection into. Best way to get ahold of it is a scrapyard.

You can also buy the entire kit from FordPartsUK.

Sorry these aren't the best instructions but I'm not an expert on this. Good luck.
