lol, always good to see a 'coppa' with a good sense of humour. It really should be a minimum requirement when joining the force as I am sure, with patience, it is something that is needed at times!

Would you believe I'm a grouchy impatient miserable old sod? But I do have a strong sense of humour.

Been watching the police reality tv shows like road wars etc..

One thing that always got me was why on the radio they say "yes" twice?

Pertinent words are repeated so as to avoid misunderstanding and possible confusion.

It's not a stutter.

You dont want to press that little orange button, But it could be a good game "he who arrives last, buys dinner!" Airwave speak seems easy enough to me, repeat important words, and reiterate, always where possible use the old phonetic alphabet, and dont get your colours confused :P

Oh and Stoney, I have to say I would have never thought that if you hadn't said it, lots, on the forums :P

I very rarely get stopped now, I think being a coppers son-in-law and being a head door supervisor has summit to do with this haha(get to socialise and communicate/liaise with the police while working) :D :D :P :P :D :D

I doubt that's got anything to do with it unless you have these facts in bumper-sticker form!

well while on the way home from a shift on a friday night, having to be up at 8;30 to get ready to travel to play rugby i decided to put my foot down through a spot where 'joyboys play out' i got pulled over by an unmarked police car having got out and walked over, both officers started laughing and saying, ffs its you you !Removed! I had previously had a chat with them two that night about how much i hate joyboys, anyways they said 'you better go get some beauty sleep for you big game'

so theres my proof that in my eyes having good relationships with the police helps :P

Just don't come South with that sort of attitude, nobody down here thinks that they are so important that they are above the law, ticket guaranteed.

Totally agree, on my way home from duty yesterday I came across a marked speed camera van at 'a bit' above the posted limit.

I think I may have a ticket on the way.

If so fair enough, nobody is above the law especially me.

No exceptions I say.

If I have got a ticket on the way then it will be my first in over 20 years of driving.

If I break the law then I expect to get done just like everyone else.

Unfortunately it would appear so :(

All men are created equal, it just seems some are more equal than others.

Aye, Clive. However, all men and ladies are equal on the Ford forum! We are a band of brothers and sisters! ( I really need to stop drinking that Cotes du Rhone from Asda! ).

You want to start drinking lager.

We will all truly be equal then.

Welcome to the unwashed masses brother.
