garmcqui
Hi all, A few weeks ago the engine management light came on on my mum's 2008 Focus 1.8 TDCi, accompanied by a whooshing noise under acceleration. I found a split in the pipe coming from the turbo, and replaced that with a genuine part. It drove well for a few weeks, but now has had the engine manegement and traction control lights come on again. Not sure if the 2 lights are related... I hooked up my F-Super USB and got the following codes from the PCM: P0402 - EGR flow excessive detected P0238 - Turbo/Super charger boost sensor A circuit high P010F - Mass or volume air flow sensor A/B correlation All three faults come back immediatedly after clearing. From the ABS module, I got: U2023 - Fault received from external node P0238 - Turbo/Super charger boost sensor A circuit high P010F - Mass or volume air flow sensor A/B correlation Again, all three come back immediatedly. Anyone got any ideas? Milage is only 42k. The fuel rail pressure is 300bar at idle, is this normal? Cheers, Gareth
raskL
it looks like its all related to the cracked pipe, how long have you run it for after you replaced hose ? if its not much give it a good run, it should reset itself can take a while to cycle thro and re-health check itself

Cheers, Gareth clean out the egr mate as they carbon up to hell spec if its been under 3k all its days...seen afew boost hoses split on these...basicly it looses boost no power...if its running finenow like above take it for a good run then plug her back in reset it look again....if its running bad replace cheapest part first poss maff sensor last boost control valve/sensor as i think these are dearest
