12 volts is the minimum power a battery should put out before it's classed as flat.

Quite common for a car to push 14+ volts.

Also how to choose which socket you need to use? Do all blank slots in the fuse box have a live? or they might be completely blank?

Hi All,

Im looking to hard wire a switched live to supply a driving camera so want it to be powered with the ignition. 

Any suggestions on source?

Great guide , wish the mk7 had multiplug like my mk2.5 focus titanium on right side of boot below light cluster.would have been alot easier.

This is exactly what I am looking to do, but I am not so good with cars 😛 I can't seem to find the cartoons/pictures in large mode, any hints?
