Thought I'd introduce myself.

My name's Ellie and I just joined the FF Club today.

While I am a "girl" - I am interested in cars and I love reading about modifications (although I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to try any.. yet!!)

I live in Denmark but come from Scotland and last year I decided to take my driving test which I passed first time despite everything being in Danish. :D

I have a dark blue Ford Focus mk2 Estate 1,6 from 2006.

Anyway I hope to learn some new stuff here both modifications and maintenence. :)

Welcome to the forum,

when you get a momment please join photobucket or a similar image hosting website then upload some pictures of your motor and link them to your thread here on the forum,

you may also like to have a look at some of my guides below this post. their are some nice body kits available for the focus estate the 5 door ST/zetec s side skirts and front lip will fit directly on to the estate and their is a genuine ford st style rear spoiler available for the estate too if you were planning to go that route,

also check out DMB graphics for some gel badge overlays:

Thanks Dez :)

Lenny - Thanks for mentoning your guides.. I hadn't actually thought of doing any modding to the exterior of my estate but you've made me curious so I'm going to have a look see.

Not too sure hubby's going to like that though... he thinks I spend far too much on my car as it is.

ah ha

I have a 30 year old woman who cohabits with me and mothers my two children and calls herself my missus, she that would get on brilliant with your hubby has no interest in cars only to wreck the gear box and clutch, but strange to find a man who isn’t in to cars or modifications.

Welcome to the forum Ellie.

I've done a couple of small bits to my car, maybe you can get a wee bit of inspiration from them.

Details are in my post signature.

Lenny - I think it might have something to do with him never learning how to drive. It still cracks me up that every guy we're chatted to thinks it's his car... mind you he's pretty quick at setting them straight. :D

Stoney - Thanks for the welcome and the links... they look interesting.

Although I'm not sure how brave I am when it comes to wiring and stuff. I can take a computer apart but then I don't have to drive it afterwards. ;)

you just need to boot the car the same as the PC lol

the focus estate has a body kit similar to the zetec s infact the 5 door st side skirts which are also zetec s side skirts,

they will fit directly on to the estate, then their is a front lip for the zetec s will fit the estate followed by the estate specific rear diffuser and st stye estate specific rear spoiler, would look sweet

even chenge the badge to eSTate like another member of the forum has on his st replica estate.

Hmm.. don't think my Apple would like getting booted.. now if it was my old Vista.. that I would have happily booted. :D

I like the thought of side skirts and rear spoiler... but I think I'll hold off on any major modding for now as I've looked at the prices here in Denmark... way out of my price range. £250 - £600.

I've just paid over £700 for the car's annual service... so am kind of skint.

Small steps make the difference.

The wiring bits are easy enough for me to do and i'm a total doofus.
