Does anybody know if the blank plate on the right hand side inside the glove box is hiding a USB port? I heard that there was a port underneath it and if you paid for the upgrade when the car was originally bought then they would just remove the plate??

The USB plug is usually part of the standard wiring loom and as such should be behind the glove box. The USB socket is about £2.70 from Ford.
Remove the glove box and the USB plug should be plugged into a blanked point on the left side of the glove box. Cut out the blank, clip in the USB and attach the plug.

I removed the glove box and only found 1 cable attached on the left hand side which didnt seem to do anything or be attached to anything. Will it look anything like a usb port or is it like an electrical connector? Also im trying to search for the part you talked about but can't seem to find this anywhere? Any suggestions?

It should look like a stripped down USB cable.
Maybe your car was the exception. ?
