hi i have a 2004 tdi galaxy and it has developed an issue with the drivers door module it has now stopped opening the drivers window but will open the front and rear passengers but will not close them it will also not lock and unlock the central locking by the use of the switch. is it the actual module playing up or is there another fault that i do not know about

Sounds like you have some broken wires where the wiring loom passes into the door very common Galaxy Achilles heel
