Focus Phone System 'phone Book' Problem

I have a 2012 Focus Zetec. Had it a week. I can connect (and use) both my Blackberry and Galaxy Ace Plus to the bluetooth system but the car only auto downloads the contacts from the Blackberry. It won't do it for the Galaxy so I'm assuming that's not fully compatible. The car's manual suggests you can create your own phone book though that is then stored in the car's phone system. It even gives you the voice commands to set this up. So, I say "phone" and system confirms what I've said. I say "store name" and it says "name please". No matter what I say next, the system says "sorry" and cancels the request. Is it me?
