Performance Gain

Hey guys, I'm hoping you can help me.

I've owned a 2007 1.6l mk6 fiesta (non-zetec) for about 6 months now, and to be frank, I'm getting bored, its great for getting around town, but I want to give it a little bit more go. I'm wondering if there are any, and if so, what, performance boosts I can throw into this car. I've got a few grand to burn and I'm willing to try anything short of a new engine or a different car, since I do love it to bits.

You can easily get it remapped for a few hundred £ will provide a decent performance boost and a new air filter (k&n,pipercross) before the remap will mean you get better results from the remap,new exhaust system will help also

Remap is pointless on a petrol unless you've already done exhaust, cams etc

If you got money to burn, buy a faster car. Not much point in remapping a 100 bhp petrol engine.
