Foczxs
Hi guys. I've just recently bought a 2009 focus 1.6 diesel and quickly noticed a judder when in low revs. When I'm crawling in traffic mostly in 2nd or 3rd and revs are below 1500rpm. I first booked it back in with ford but also asked a mechanic at work and immediately said is the air con on?! After he said this I turned the air con off and no judder, even if I tried to make it judder....... My question is this really, is this normal and should a relatively new car do this? It's not massively annoying but when in slow moving traffic it does do it a lot when air con is on and I would prefer not to have to turn it off and checke my revs every time I'm in traffic....... If its normal, then I'm sure I can cope...
oilburner79
Yes it's perfectly normal as the AC system draws power from the engine
