Hi. I've bought a C-max steering column with wheel and airbag but without a key. I want to take the wheel off without damaging the steering lock. Anyone know if I can get a key made with just the column?

OK - anyone know how to get the barrel out to replace it with one that has a key?

You can call a auto locksmith who will be able to read the lock barrel and produce a key to fit.
I would assume that what you are intending to do is remove the barrel, swap the steering colums over and refit your original ignition barrel?
There is also the possibility that if you are not intending to reuse the donor ignition barrel of drilling out the barrel and releasing it that way.
I'd call some garages and see if they are willing to provide this service.
It may actually be more cost effective than getting a key cut.

Thanks - I'm actually only interested in the airbag cover.

Got the old steering lock off eventually but now I can't see how to take the airbag front cover off.

Anyone know how to do this without blowing my arms off.
