Yeah I plasti dipped mine black, had to take it off though as I curbed one of the alloys and I had run out of spray to repair it.

I don't think the Cossie wheels work. Would have been better with painting the standards black....course that does leave that to me to do now...

They're really nice but they don't look 17" 
could be the wheels are a higher profile than normal?
Either way get some lower profile tyres and it'll be perfect
