Here is a guide to show how quick and easy it is to change the wiper blades on your ford.
I have purchased my replacement wipers from a perticular company on ebay but i refuse to recommend them to others because they sent me somebody elses order along with my own, me being an honest person i notified them of their error and made arrangments with the company to return the items providing the cover the cost of return postage.
I retuned the parcel via tracked mail, the company has confirmed reciept of the parcel but have not paid me postage.
So if purchasing your wipers on ebay,
And the Company your buying from has "Clear" in the name then stay clear of that seller lol
Anyways on with the guide.
I purchased model specific Bosh ultra flat blade wipers, the front wipers come supplied as a pair
And the rear comes specific too.
Please see images below for the Bosh wiper codes to suit the focus 2005-2010

For the purpose of changing the wipers,
I stopped the car with the wiper arms in mid cycle position.

Lift the wiper arm from the windscreen

Rotate the wiper blade to look like a smile shape thus clearing the blade from the stop plate

Gently slide the wiper out sideways towards the drivers side wing mirror

Dispose of old wiper in Recylce Waste and unpackage the new wipers.
The longer wiper fits to the drivers side and the smaller wiper to the passenger side.
Line up the hole on the new wiper and gently slide in to place then flap wiper downwards and replace wiper arm down on to the windscreen,
Repeat steps on the passenger side then continue to the rear if required depending on hatch/saloon model.

For those who have a hatch back model.

Gently lift wiper arm from the rear window

When elevated from the rear window,
Gently move the bottom of the wiper outwards to create an overall T shape

Then grip the head of the wiper arm in one hand,
And the wiper blade in the other hand.
Pull the wiper bracket bar from the wiper arm grip using firm gentle pull, prepare for the sudden release of the wiper so dont pull too hard or you could result in ßtriking the rear window or panel with the old wiper.
When the wiper has been removed,
Line up the new wiper blade and again; grip the wiper in one hand and the wiper arm in the hand and gently push the wiper in to the bracket, placing a thumb on the bracket section just behind the socket and gently pushing.

Return wiper arm to make contact with the rear window.
Job Done,
Hope this guide saves some people money by making people aware of just how easy it is to change the wipers yourself with the same end result as the dealers,
But at a fraction of the cost.
