to get my main bean to light up the road ahead, my dipped beam lights up about 10 feet in front, when there adjust right for the dipped, the main is to high, is there any way of adjusting them separately?

Hi there is no individual adjustment sounds like one of the bulbs is incorrectly fitted. Check them both and get the lamp unit aligned on an MOT testing stations beam setter.
