Intermittent Starting Problem Focus

Hi. I own a X reg Auto Ford Focus Lx. I initially encountered a misfiring issue which I believed I had solved by replacing the coil pack. This did stop the misfiring but I did notice the vehicle was still pulling away a tad slower than expected. My current problem may or maynot be linked but basically the vehicle will not crank intermittently, turn the key, dashboard lights up, radio etc but engine doesn't even try to turn over. The vehicle eventually turns over and starts from anywhere to 5 to 50 turns of the key then drives fine. I thought maybe it was just a battery fault but it's stil showing 12.6v and I have lights etc. This problem also happens if I try to restart the car quickly after a very short journey. Any ideas before I bite the bullet and take it to the garage??
