Hello.

Could anybody please advise on the approximate cost to repair Nearside and Offiside Macpherson Strut slight movement on my Ford Ka 2001?

Thanks

Should take about 1 to 1.5 hours to replace. Most independant garages charge £50-80 per hour, so then add 20% vat you will get a figure from that.

Also add part costs... if you supply then they will add 10-20% on top of the labour costs as they make a few quid on parts supplied.

Thanks for that. I've got a mechanic mate, so hopefully get mates rate on labour. Any ideas on parts cost?

try here for a new part
good prices & fast delivery
www.buypartsby.com

if it's the strut rubber bush that's gone they are £8.27 each one each side so you need 2 of them pluse some postage from the web above
worth giving them a call with your reg & what part you need & they will tell you what part cost etc &
can take payment over the phone.
it's the only place i use.

if you need the whole shock then look here for a guide price

http://www.buypartsb...hock-absorbers/

this is for a 1.3 2001 model you will also see the front mount kit there if that's all you may need.
i would get your mechanic to phone the buypartsby & he will be better to explane what he needs

phoe number is 0115 9647 391

keep us posted m8
