PeterJeeves507
Hi everybody, I have a mk6 2007 fiesta zetec s and the windscreen washers both front and rear have stopped working, almost as if the fuse has popped, though they started working again briefly yesterday, which probably rules out the fuse, but haven't worked today, do they have a thermal cutoff on them as it has been really cold recently? Any help would be much appreciated! Peter.
Stoney871
Is it a possibility that they were just frozen?
Pontylad
Could be frozen but Is the fuse controlling anything else. It may be shown on a wiring diagram. Might be that although fuse is intact it may not be making contact. Have you tried cleaning the blades or trying a new fuse. Other probs could be a loose connection or a relay not making contact or duff. 'm sorry I can't be more help. Good luck Pete Pontylad. Navarro93
Honestly sounds like your washers have frozen. I'm pretty sure (about 99%) that F&R washers are fed from the same bottle, so it's highly likely that the water in it has frozen. Try adding a load of winter screenwash to it, then give it time to melt...
PeterJeeves507
Cheers guys, the temperature's stayed above freezing (just) and they've worked fine. I'll check the connections and fuse anyway, just to be sure!
