Stoney871
Try giving the wipers and screen a good wash down with a vinegar/water mix to remove wax and crap from them.
sambooka
Do they judder whilst using the windscreen washers mine only judder when used on a dry screen
DanGersFord
Possibly too much or too little tension on the wiper arm basically pressing the wiper to the screen either too hard or not hard enough
DieselPig
Dirty glass, clean as above with vinegar or methylated spirits and then apply Rain-X to the glass.
Nay ZS
Could it be because they are cold. Mine judder sometimes when the temps drop to freezing. My thinking is that the rubber harderns up meaning they don't make contact with the windscreen properly.
top banana
Hi all Thanks for your replies. I only got the car in October and never really noticed it (1 yr old). When I bought it I got new Ford blades as the old ones were not that great. Today the juddering was so bad I bought some new ones (as thought the replacements could be iffy) but the Halfords ones are the same. It judders both ways, going up and down. The glass is clean, very clean. Someone at work mentioned same as DanGersFord did, possibly the wiper arm tension spring. Now how do you adjust it? Any ideas. The juddering is doing my head in!!! Marcr1
My drivers side does this and it's really annoying. I've polished and thoroughly cleaned my windscreen as well as the wipers! Just one of them things you have to put up with I imagine :P
DanGersFord
To adjust it you lift each wiper blade off the windscreen by about 15cm and let it ping back and hit the windscreen. This apparently adjusts the tension
