gc88
Has anyone drilled their airbox on their focus? I've seen it done loads on other forums, but not on fords! I don't see any performance gains...only a bit more of a chav noise!
salsheikh
only useful if you have a petrol car, will give a different noise, i did it in my previous car.
Mike77
But will also draw in warm air from under the bonnet, you'll get the placibo effect of 'sounding' faster, but may well lose power. Aftermarket air filter or induction kit with heat shield is the best way.
artscot79
induction kit= loss in performance and heat soak but it makes a noise drill airbox=loss in performance and heat soak it makes a bit of a noise aftermarket filter and standard airbox slight power increase no noise
gc88
I wouldn't mind the noise...but i dont want to screw up my airbox for good! Anyone know how to remove the lower half of the air box? 2.0 petrol 59 reg ford - it has a round filter not flat panel. I've looked online but can't find any filter boxes on eBay or anywhere. Where sells them?!
