Does anyone else handbrake sound partially seized up if you disengage it after the car was sitting immobile for a few days?

If I move my car after sitting a few days the handbrake comes off, but it sounds like it has jammed for a split second and makes a crunch/snap noise before loosening.

Any ideas?

Sounds like symtoms of a stretched handbrake cable mate,
Id take the car to get handbrake cable tightened and get the drums removed to clean inside then refit.
If you drive too far in this condition metal on metal will get hot resulting in seizure of rear axle when handbrake is engauged after a long journey,
Happend my missus first car,
