Just picked up my focus titanium today, and I've tried pairing my iPhone 5 with the head unit with limited success! Could and one give me some advice?
I've turned on my phones Bluetooth and done a search but nothing came up, Also when I press the phone button on the head unit it just comes up with audio muted!?! Help please! Thanks chris.

As your stereo 'mutes' when you press the phone button it looks like your car is not equipped with a Bluetooth Module... but
To be 100% sure if your car left the factory with BT and Voice Control go to the link below and enter your VIN or REG
http://www.etis.ford...eRegSelector.do
If you only have the option to enter your VIN and prefer to use your REG (as first registered with) Please go to Home > Preferences and set your country as United Kingdom (click Update)
When you have completed the steps above you will be presented with your build data - under the 'minor features' list you will see a text link to expand. This will give all feature - paste this up on here and we can confirm either way.

Yeah it does say audio muted when I press the phone button, I've also found a aux socket at the top of the glove box if that gives any more clues?

could I have this installed to the car now then? If so how much do you guys think it would cost?
Thanks for the help, chris.

Yes - it is possible to retrofit this - you should already have a BT connector taped up in the glove box and the mic (or wiring for) in the center lighting console.
Do you have a stereo control stalk beneath the indicator stalk? If so does if have voice marked on it?
I've not done the retro fit myself but know that a couple of guys on here have. Perhaps they can give an accurate indication on price.
Regardless you're looking at buying parts from salvaged cars rather than direct from Ford as the new cost is very high. For example:
Bluetooth Module with BT/VC voice activated module only Part: 8M5T-19G488-A(X) *where 'X could be a number different letters dependent on build date of car can be found on eBay / breakers for around £50 - while the new cost is over £200.
Hopefully someone who has done this will be able to provide a parts list.

Hi, it's a mk3 2008! Pretty sure that it has Bt!
Hi, this is why I asked, headunits that mute when the green phone button is pressed usually mean no BT. It is also common amongst some Mk2.5 Foci owners to confuse their cars with a Mk3 when all it is is a facelift, ebay is littered with it. I also believe that retrofitting the Ford BT setup can be expensive and it might be better getting a Parrot system instead.
