Hi Guys,
Following the recent bump in my car I am looking at converting the rear drums on my 2008 MK6 Fiesta. Has anyone seen any kits or any think that I can buy as a pack or is it just a case of getting the bits and then fitting them? I have not done any mechanical work on a car before but I would like to do this myself. Has anyone done these themselves? Is it a difficult job?
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,
Its entirely possible but not an overly straightforward process. There are kits, and you should be able to follow many guides out there, but it will be a small fortune in parts and time to be honest, but its not impossible to do.
To be fair, I doubt that unless your going to uprate ALL discs and pad's you will see little difference in performance, better than replacing the shoes inside with better 'pads'

I have done this on a mk1 focus which use the same bits as the fiesta except for handbrake cables and brake hoses.
It's a fairly simple job but I wouldn't recommend doing it without any experience of working on cars
