Central Locking

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had to change the battery last week as the old one had died. I replaced it with a Varta Chromium battery but since then everytime I turn the ignition on the boot unlocks itself!

I have tried various combinations of locking it and unlocking (double locking etc) and have also tried resetting it using the fob but it's still a problem and I have to get out the car with it running to close the boot again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Keef.

When the old one died did you try to jumpstart it?

Thanks for your reply.

I didn't jump start it, I had a replacement battery from a fiesta that I put in until I ordered the new Varta battery.

Any ideas?

Only thing I can think of is some sort of faulty wiring. But that wouldn't explain the coincidence that it only started happening after you changed the battery.

If you put the fiesta battery in again does the boot still open?
