Wheel Spacer Stuck On Hub.

I recently got a puncture on the drivers side front wheel on my fiesta. I changed it to the spare wheel, took it to the garage not realising until they went to fit the new tyre for me that the wheel spacer was still on the hub when the spare wheel had been fitted. They've put the wheel back on for me but said to keep an eye on the wheel for any rumbling noises in the first few days. Would i really be better taking the wheel back off and the spacer, or will it be fine now the normal alloy wheel is back on?

With your alloys on, you will need the spacer..or else your wheel will vibrate all the way.

Ive got the alloy on but my point is the spacer was stuck on the hub thing? I just placed the wheel back on the spacer where its stuck? My point is should i have tried to get the spacer off the hub and place it back in the alloy before fitting the wheel or will it be safe as it is?

The spacer will be to change the offset of the Alloy , it might be an idea to try and remove the spacer , spray it with wd40 and then when you get it off apply a little grease on it before fitting , at least you will know it will be better for any future work.

Thanks for the idea. I was just a little worried of the wheel maybe moving loose whilst the spacer is actually stuck and not in the alloy itself.

Paint/spray it with some copper ease when refitting it doesn't dry out like grease Will

WD40 the sucker, get a pry-bar behind it and give it a going at. But be gentle, think most spacers are alloy and can damage easy. Make sure then to get rid of all WD40 residue that may have got on the disks, and as above, use copper grease on it when refitting.
