Anyone have trouble with the backrest catch/ lever of the front seats on the 3-door MK6, seem to be a bit of a pain, in that when lifting the lever it's a bit of a struggle pulling the backrest forward to let passengers in the back.
Cheers Pete

Had a good look at this today and the catches/ clamps appear to be the real problem here in that they just don't release properly of the bars so to speak, what I've done is sand off some of the paint on both the catches and bars (bit the catch clamps around) and now the seat pulls back perfect every time and catch feels as it should, also applied some more grease to them just for good measure!!

How did you replace the cables or did you not need to? The cables on father in laws car have snapped and need replacing.

Cables were ok, probably sorted it just in time before they or something there did break!!
