dohboy78
Sweet ride, I think it could do with matching gel badges on the wheel center caps. where u getting it remapped? I agree... Think I will order some black silver ones same as front and rear Ford Badges. Getting the remap done at Collins Performance in Macclesfield. Did the ST for me. Having the DPF and Cat removed with a custom AAS pipe at the same time! :)

Stoney871
That is looking particularly sweet. Loving the black lower trim, certainly makes the front look very Evo'ish.

dohboy78
Quick update... just got back from AAS... They made me this: Unfortunately they couldn't make the De-cat pipe. They said it was far too complicated and too many tight bends. When I arrived I saw this... It was powered by this... Alsogot my new foglights back... painted in Panther Black by my littlebro... absolutely perfect! Just bonding the parts together now.

Lenny
You're build is looking fantastic mate, If I was you I'd have the louvers in the bonnet done gloss black aswell as the rear diffuser section Also a set of mud flaps to protect the skirts and rear bumper, I know ford don't make these for the body kitted models but a company called focus essentials on Facebook manufacture custom fit sets for the focus, the same set fits the Zs,ST and RS so they may also fit your Mondeo, I've had a set fitted for over two years now and there still 100% https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.404891199621605.1073741828.404810006296391&type=

Might use some vinyl to do the louvres first... On another note... Just ordered this http://www.autospecialists.co.uk/Airtecs-Mondeo-Mk4-2022-Diesel-front-mount-Intercooler-upgrade-Product-1074.html for £350 delivered direct from AS. :)
dohboy78
So the intercooler arrived the day after I ordered it... Barely 24hrs ordering to delivery!! It was packaged in 3 boxes. Well protected. Only there is no Airtec logo on it... So decided to do my own. Firstly printed off the logo onto A4 paper... Then stuck it to some vinyl I had. Then cut out the letters to give me a template. Then used a sponge and some of my calliper paint to dab the paint on. Waited overnight then peeled it off to reveal... Pretty happy with the results. Have made sure its the right size to be seen between the parking sensors and grill. Will be fitting tomorrow!

dohboy78
So I decided to fit my spangly new Airtec Intercooler today. I jacked the car up using the jacking point... only to hear creaking and a big bang. Looked under and found this! WTF!! Not happy. So decided to carry on anyways. Took forever to strip the oldintercooler out. Stupid ford putting the jubilee clip screw on the topof the pipe... completely inaccessible from underneath. But I persistedand finally got if out. Thenoffered up the Airtec to find their is no way on gods earth it willfit. At this point I had had enough and decided to have my lunch andcome back and have a look to make sure I wasn't being a divvy! Butno...Not only is it too tall and wide, but it fouls these... (Look in the hole where you can see the ground... there is a square bit o plastic) (Top of the pic) whatever they are?? Just not enough space... So my favorite task... put every !Removed! thing back again. Cue cursing, scraped knuckles and thing getting thrown around!! So basically my only day off in 14, and I have fitted 4 well nuts and my newly painted fog lights! Not happy in the least. Have messaged John-ST3 who is going to have a look in a few weeks. dohboy78
Today John-ST3 has worked a miracle and fitted the Airtec intercooler. The 2 radiator spacers were quickly removed with a deft twist of Johns hand. Wethen looked at the space... now wide enough... but not tall enough.John got his hammer... and removed the entire air feed from the top ofthe intercooler space. In Fords wisdom they decided to fit the 3 footair feed all the way along the top of the intercooler... (See the black flexible tubing along the front... which actually takes air from the engine... not from the grill??) as opposed to a 6" tube to the grill in front of the air box... genius!! So the lot was stripped out and binned. So this was the space left... Fromhere it was relatively easy going. The Airtec fitted easily in the gap.Everything bolted up. Now the Airtec is only fixed from the 2 mountingbrackets at the bottom. So the top flops around and clanks against theradiator. WTF were Airtec thinking of??? Not impressed. Eventually abracket will have to be created to go from the horn mount on the top ofthe intercooler to the front crash bar. For now a couple of bits of cardjammed in stop it slapping around. Airtec/Auto-Specialists will get acall regarding their diabolical fitting instructions and poor stability! Butits all fitted. Throttle response is a tad smoother, but should noticemore difference once mapped and de-cat and DPF delete pipe fitted.Forgot to take any pics of it fitted... will get some soon. Also new wheels should not be far away... watch this space! Big thanks to John-ST3 (Again)!!
