Modification Projects/general Modification Discussions

Whos in the process of doing their car up? I want to hear about anything youve done from the smallest decal to full engine/body mods :). List the model/year or mk of your car and what youve done and what youre planning to do. Also try and make/post a guide on how you have done your modifications to try and help others. If you need help creating a guide, feel free to contact either myself or any of the other moderators who are always glad to help out.

Ive got a fiesta mk 6 (03) and so far ive fitted;

I plan to fit front fog lights, EiBach coilovers/bilstein dampers, A new set of alloys, HID conversion, and possible exhaust at the moment :).

So after wrapping the diffuser decided to have a go at the Chrome Boot Handle. And a pic of the 2 together.

Cheers Guys its easy enough if you got patients! Have a try on something pretty flat to start off. It's the curved stuff that tests you. I got my vinyl from Underground Graphics on Ebay. Really quick

Nothing too exciting for me, I have an Alpine Bluetooth radio inplace of the standard, I am currently in the process of upgrading all the bulbs to LED where possible. Other than that, I am probably looking to improve the detail and small engine performance mod's (uprated Air filters and the likes).

Otherwise, looking to tint the rear windows and install cruise control.

I was saw you could get LED brake lights. My brake lights are double filament obviously tail/brake combined, would they still work and do you need to alter the wiring or is that only when you fit LED indicators?

its the indicators you need to fiddle with, for me its my fog and tail lights thats dual filament, I am working on that one but my brakes are just brakes.

Where are you getting your custom heater controls from? I take it by custom you're meaning different colour illumination?

  • Author

Ahh very nice. Im wantin to change the illumination on mine from green to blue. I can only find the window switches/ heated front/rear screen switches

  • Author

Remember and update your list as/when ypu make modifications :)

Ah it reads like a lot but when you picture it all on the car except for body kit and wheels,

The other subtle differences don't cost much if buying one or two per month cost less than 50 pounds.

I used to make modification lists but they would never happen due to spiral cost of complete list.

I find it better not to plan it and just take each month as it comes,

Buy little bits here and there, build a watch list in your ebay and when you have modification money spare,

Browse the list to find somthing, that's how I done mine, buying all watched items under 20pounds

Then saving more to buy the watched items in the 50-60pounds range.

Its fun but very addictive lol lucky I don't drink, smoke or gamble well unless its an ebay auction lmao

last sentence sounds like me lol, as I don't smoke nor drink etc.... I do have a little list on the bay but misses keeps on deleting stuff lol..... waiting on rear diffuser delivery. Chinese new year etc.... but also looking at intercooler pipework and intercooler change
