Well im torn between a mk1 Focus RS, a mk2 focus ST (similar price range) or whether to go all out and get the new focus ST2 on finance :/ decisions decisions lol. I definatly want something with alot more power though. Ive made aload of visual mods on my mk6 but its only a 1.3 LX so there isn't much point doing any perormance mods. Its been the first car ive ever done any mods to and IMO i think it looks pretty decent but theres just no ooomph when driving it lol

Id personally go for the mk2 st mate,
Better chassie and more mods than the mk1 RS
Duplex exhaust as standard too and an easy upgrade to mk2.5 body styling if you ever decided to.

I like the mk 1 RS if I can find one thats not had loads of mods done to it I think id personally go for that but they're few and far between. Ive also never had a brand new car lol so id quite like the new ST. Ive got to admit though I do actualy love the orange mk2 ST. If I had a spare 20k id get the mk2 RS lol

I like the RS both mk1 and mk2 but I'm not in favour of the bucket seat styling looks like they were designed by a 12 year old school boy,
St leather interior seats lookmuch better or even some bride bucket seats but not the rs ones lol
The new st is nice too but mk2 st got better reviews on both Topgear and fifth gear.

The Focus RS MK1 is a very good handling car, and lighter, more track-orientated and probably sharper than the Focus ST mk2

It is possible to bring an ST mk2 to close to RS mk2 spec

here are some figures -

Focus RS mk1 217bhp 1250kgs 144mph 6.4secs 0-60mph
Focus ST mk2 222bhp 1392kgs 141mph 6.5secs 0-60mph
Focus RS mk2 301bhp 1467kgs 163mph 5.9secs 0-60mph
Focus ST mk2 Mountune kit = 260hp

Not everyone wants their performance car kitted out with all the junk of the day like a Merc S class or a lexus

Just a matter of personal taste

I probably wouldnt do anything like that at first anyway i mean theres going to be a big increase in power going from a 1.3 fiesta to any of the cars im looking at lol from a zero start my younger brothers rustheap of a c***a accellerates faster than my fiesta lol

Hi Ford Fans, please help. I am driving a 1993 Ford Sapphire, 3.0i v6. It is fitted with a Lucas 5am air flow meter. The problem I have is the plug that fitted onto the meter broke, so I just cut it off and attached the wires directly to the connectors of the Air flow with clips, its making contact, but I have a feeling they are not correctly, the throttle pos you adjust for the idle speed is not responding as it did before. There are 5 connectors on the air flow meter. from the left side there are three then a gap and then two. There are many posts in various other forums with the wire color and connector it must connect too, but my wires are completely different.

My wire colors are as follows: Brown with trace Black, Brown with trace Grey, Black and Brown with trace Red.

So, in short, which wire connects to which pin.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Id spray the chrome fog surround rings the same colour to continue the theme across the front,

Whoever the focus guy is, good choice on the orange stripes.

 

I haven't done much, mostly because of my insurance and mine will probably become a first car for someone.

 

I have done however, orange stripes kit, never seen my central stripes kit anywhere else (not sure if anyone would want it haha).

Rear tinted windows down to 5% light

6.1" touchscreen JVC unit

DMB gel badges

Fly eyes back lights and reflectors

Ordering a flip key for it tomorrow (locksmith near me can do them apparently )

 

So yeah, thats all i've done, mostly just wanted to say that i'm so glad i'm not the only one with black and orange .

Got a hint of orange on the front aswell and black DMB badges with ford wrote in orange
