I have made a small but handy modification to the rear hatchback of my girlfriends Mark 7 Fiesta.
She is not tall enough to reach the inner handle to pull the hatch down so I have added a little fabric handle.

If anyone would like to copy this modification it is so easy to replicate.
Simply find one of those cardboard carrier bags with the fabric handles and remove them from the bag then remove the single screw from the inner handle then loop the handle over and put the screw through the ends.

Then attach the strap to the car again and there you are.
