Central And Internal Locking Problem

My 2008 Focus Titanium has a strange issue with the central and internal locking. Firstly when using the key to remotely unlock the doors only the drivers door will open first time, the other door takes a further 3 or 4 pushes of the unlock button. Secondly, when pushing the internal lock on the drivers door the door won't lock and neither will any of the other doors.

Today I've taken the drivers door panel off and the cable looks fine. I was unable to to have time to take the metal panel off the door to check where it connects to.

Anyone have any ideas?
