Sounds like it may have the same problem as my fiesta, lift the bonnet and see if the drivers side windscreen washer nozzle can be moved at all, on fiestas the water then dribbles through onto the airbox and then down between the airbox and oil filler right onto the ht leads and then down into spark plug land.
