I need to get some new car mats for my Mondeo Mk3 2001 Zetec, as the ones I have are slipping all over the place.

I need to be sure to get mats that will not slip. Is it best to go for the genuine Ford Mondeo Mk3 mats? I can see on a pic that they have 2 holes and 2 clips for fitting. But in my driver's foot well I cannot see anywhere to clip them. Anyone have any guidance on where these mat clips are supposed to fit to in the foot well??

Failing that, is there a more highly rated mat (to fit Mondeo Mk3) that will do the job of not slipping?

Thanks in advance

Mike

If you have a place to mount the mat clips you should have a couple of flaps cut into the footwell carpet that sits just under the front of the drivers seat.
The clips are only needed in the drivers side to stop the mat sliding under the pedals.
I use the clips in my private and work focus's and they have a twist toggle on one end that locks onto the mat and they have a T shaped piece on the other end which twists into slots under the carpet flaps.
The fiesta mounts are different so possibly the mondeo ones may be too.
Links to focus and fiesta ones in case either of them may fit a mondeo.-

Basically, if you find a vertical slot under a carpet flap them the focus ones may fit, if you find a horizontal rectangular hole them the fiesta ones may fit.

Checked further and the mondeo ones appear to be the same as for the focus but just in case they are slightly different-

Ah ha thanks guys. I noticed I have one screw hole in the carpet under and slightly behind the pedals in the centre. Looking at carmats.co.uk with one-hole mats I think thats what I should be going for.
