Hi, in my Mk2 Focus Zetec, the steering wheel doesn't sit completely straight when the tyres are, if I try to make the steering straight, the car ends up rearing left, any suggestions as to why this is or how to fix it?

Thanks

You will need to find a garage that is experienced at setting tracking.I tried two places and both struggled to get it right.(The tracking can be correct even if the steering wheel is to the right or left)Managed in the end though.Good luck!

You could always take the steering wheel off and spin it round on the splines. Cheeky way of getting away with paying for tracking to be done :P

Be careful with the airbag tho! Always recommend disconnecting the battery before playing about with them.

this happens when the tracking is adjusted without locking the steering wheel in the straight position, a good tracking company should be able to get it bak to horizontal.
