hi everybody
i am needing some advice. i would like to put a weber carb on my escort but don't know which one is the correct one for the car. it's a mk4 1.4 'F' reg (89/90 i think). i've heard they improve perfomance by quite a bit. any help or advice would be great.
cheers,
Ben

hello m8

If you can get hold of a XR2 OR XR3 carb making sure its the CVH XR2 possibly with inlet manifold to be on the safe side,it would fit straight on and as its a TWIN CHOKE weber it gives the car a few more ponys :P

you can get them off
orion 1.4/1.6
XR2
XR3
escort 1.6

the carbs code or names are weber ich/ibf or ford iv/vv or dft/dmtr
but if you want to order a brand spanka go on BURTONS web site www.burtonpower.com :P

happy days m8
