As I was driving back from work when I had the wipers on variable speed, there was a clicking noise coming from the glovebox/fuse box area, is this normal? Thanks

If there was a click for each sweep it'll be the wiper relay. I don't hear mine but then at my age my hearing's getting shot :(

Yes it's a click every time it wipes, clicking noise speeds up when I speed up the wiper. Also it clicks when I press the rear heated screen. Thanks

Clearly there's nothing wrong with your hearing, lucky devil!

Absolutely normal, it's the variable speed relay operating.

Cheers for the quick replays, and my hearing isn't going to stay this good I work on a building site

I thought 'Elf and Safety' made you wear ear defenders these days?

My hearing loss is just age-related, nothing to do with noise damage. Believe me it's bl***y frustrating so take good care of your hearing.
