It's not nice seeing them like that, my boy was born premature and was in a incubator for 5 weeks, wires and tubes everywhere. I'm sure he's in the best hands, and will be well looked after. :)

Jesus hope he's on the mend soon

Thanks guys,

+1 very distressing to see one of your own all piped up,

I'll keep you updated as i know more myself im convinced he's going to be ok its just the one lung and he's now on an electronic machine that presses a syringe containing antibiotics in to his system to fight the condition,

There continuesly monitoring his urine and adjusting the ratio of antibiotics so as not to be hard on his kidneys while still administering a operational dose,

The pipe feeding is to allow him reserve his energy for recovery,

He's sucking the hand off himself no problem feeding him normally but they don't want him using energy feeding because he's already gasping god luv em.

As said there is in the best place possible,

Ill keep you guys updated.

Lenny, so sorry to hear about your son. Hope he is being taken care of and looked after well. Like you said, he is in good hands and he seems a strong lad, like his dada. I wish him and your family all the best.

If you need anything medically related or just want to talk, you know where I am. I know all too well how distressing it can be seeing a wee little one with all the tubes etc. With antibiotics and good care he should be better soon. Good prognosis I reckon as it's only in 1 lung.

Congratulations on the birth and glad he's now out of hospital. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

He was sent to hospital with pneumonia in his left lung last Saturday,

Put in quarantine and X-ray confirmed pneumonia in left lung,

Thursday morning they X-ray'ed again result left lung clear but showing pneumonia in right lung,

Shortly after this he developed a rash throughout his body,

The swabbed and sent to lab for testing,

Results confirmed MRSA

So they sent him home with pneumonia in his right lung along with antibiotics to be treated at home because THEY gave him MRSA and they don't want to have to report it to the HSE so get home and "ow were very sorry"

3 weeks old sent home on antibiotics which should be given under full electronic dialises to monitor kidneys,

Cause and cure,

How can a 3 week old baby in quarantine with nobody allowed near contract MRSA?

He's better treated at home as ive sanitised the living room,

Vicki now awaiting results from hospital to see if she got MRSA too.

Bring back the nunes running the hospital,

Atleast they scrubbed the place, we have better hygiene environment in work with lacquered floors and pvc lined walls,

Simple GMP practice.

Im very thankful of them keeping him alive but the powers that be really need to re-evaluate the hygiene practices and layout of the wards.

They need to remove the wooden frame windows and plastered walls,

Eliminate all crevices where germs manifest,

Line the walls with pvc and lacquer the floors,

Then you can hose down everything with phesaphine one week and lph the next to kill everything,

And they need interlock systems in the quarantine area, with air pressure in room which blows outward when door opened eliminating germs inwards even the banks have interlocking doors,

We have all this in work wtf is with the hospital?

Pretty outrageous Lenny! People have mentioned to me that when 'matron' ran the wards; although it was scary, she kept everyone in top top shape, everything was spotless!

Now you get some miserable looking sods rumbling down the aisles in some grubby looking outfit...

They go to shops in the same outfit that they wear when treating patients,

Gotta wonder what they use the changing rooms for..

Then step other side of curtains to send or receive a text message on there personal mobile phone then back to operating...

Imagine that on instagram "delivering baby number nine today on overtime check me out yo!! "

No concern or respect all patients seem to be saw as objects or bowls of jelly,

Mobile phone and holy water are two huge carriers of cross contamination.

Most frightening thing is; there not even collecting public funding to improve the condition lol this seems to be deemed "standard"

Perhaps newly trained staff completely unaware of GMP standards that things should be better suppose i wouldn't know any different neither if i didn't manufacture pharmaceuticals past 12 years,

That's exactly it, same clothes, mobiles, etc...I suppose changing rooms are the best places to store their tobacco pouches or packets of cigarettes for when they get their breaks...

Bit of an update on the focus now that things have improved in other areas:

Continuing on from page 60 see link: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/41443-taking-oval-to-blue-horizon-lennys-build-thread-2010-2015/?p=434592

Last Monday i got back to work on the focus for around two hours,

The task was installing the modified glovebox back in place incorporating the DVR Cradle system.

The obstacle was:

I had routed the rear camera cable; in through factory Goose neck in boot door, down the drivers side boot panel, along the floor panels, across the dash and in to the glovebox.

However it ended up being 3" inches two short for comfort.

As result on Monday i brought the cable back to the boot,

Removed some panels from rear passenger side roof,

Routed the cable through the roof lining, down the passenger side A-Pillar along side the front camera loom and in to the glovebox.

I've temporary powered the DVR system via its 12V plug

The permanent plan is to fit a USB port inside the glovebox powered from the ignition,

Then the system will be fully automatic.

Picture quality is better than the camera on my phone taking the pictures

Here's some pictures:

IMG_20141208_124930_zpsrwcvmama.jpg

IMG_20141208_124939_zpsuw4zo6rl.jpg

When the power supply is permanently fitted the system will be free from obstruction to the standard operation of the glovebox,

When flipped up its not even visible to passenger when glovebox is opened.

More progress after Christmas

I had planned a Christmas Eve update but Santa Claus beat me up and stole my wallet.

There's three items arrived which i had planned to include in that update but since it won't be happening here they are:

0.5M Red USB cable,

Link to supplier: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191324559246?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I assumed this "Micro USB" connection was the one i needed to power the DVR system and being 0.5m in length its perfect size for the compartment aswell as being red its not likely to be unplugged in error.

Sadly though the connection i require is bigger than micro USB same connection as a tomtom Satnav,

So ill try purchase same item in desired connection. Here's a picture anyway:

IMG_20141202_092012_zpsa5enaz4t.jpg

Spiral AUX port cable,

Link to Supplier:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281485953450?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Short and easy to find in the centre console:

IMG_20141208_111346_zpskvbl90l_edit_1418

Another item of similar sorts is the Spiral USB to mini USB cable for Android phone,

Link to supplier: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271674008188?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Again its short, tidy and easy to find in the centre console,

Picture next to my hand to give full idea of size:

IMG_20141215_145101_zps2vwpu8m_edit_1418

Next item although it was also very cheap, is highly valuable to me for the project.

Plastic pouch to hold iPhone inside the centre console while its connected to the headunit,

Keeping it separate from the contents of the compartment.

This particular item was very difficult to source,

Yes there is a wider version widely available on eBay:

HTB1tIgZGXXXXXbNXFXXq6xXFXXXb_zpsm7whz9a

HTB1MNsQGXXXXXaFXVXXq6xXFXXXO_zpsg03tr6w

HTB17WEDGXXXXXcMXVXXq6xXFXXX2_zpscbb8aca

But its too wide to fit the compartment,

This unit however fits nicely:

HTB1jBtfGXXXXXbtaXXXq6xXFXXXy_zpsgb8t9hw

Also arrived with some mad looking JDM backing card; looks like somthing saw in Up Garage on MightyCarMods videos.

Id like to point out that i had considered purchasing the OEM Genuine Ford pocket for the centre console which also has USB and 3.5mm AUX port,

See image:

_35_zpsbv3wtur_edit_1416430265022_zpstyx

However through research i discovered that the Genuine article isn't capable of housing an iPhone because it was designed before Steve Jobs gave birth to the device, if an iPhone was put in the pocket the lid won't close.

This plastic pouch will sit lower in the centre console,

As saw in previous updates ive changed the 12V socket for a USB & 3.5mm AUX port aswell as fitting Apple connection for Apple CarPlay,

The pocket will be rite at home:

IMG_20141124_192912_zpsgddzzaoc.jpg

More progress after Christmas :)

Below are some videos from the installed DVR system,

I purposely have the front camera positioned to capture more left of the road side as there's more to be seen such as swirving cyclists or cars pulling out from side streets, positioned slightly left captures this aswell as whats in front.

Rear camera is through 35% Tinted glass both videos are of the same journey the camera DVR records two separate full screen videos from both cameras for full effect play both videos at the same time :)
