Damn you Lenny. Just read through your whole thread again, now you've got me bidding on PS2s !!!

Sent from my iPhone 5s.

 my bad

Just to add the Tv tuner has an RCA input with 3 video outputs,

Makes it easier to install dual items because the Playstation comes in on the TV's AV input

Then the video outputs can be sent to three different screens displaying both TV stations and the Playstation.

I recommend the joypad extension cables aswell mate,

This allows permanent plug in to the playstation2

Then a socket is fitted under the drivers and passenger seats,

Plug in joypad when required :)

There linked in a previous page mate.

Also recommend the WiFi Router,

Gives the car its very own WiFi HotSpot :)

Great for streaming Spotifi without affecting your monthly data allowance,

Some cars have Twin Turbo's mines got 4G

Man, you are dangerous lol.

I was just going to have the ps in the glove box all connected up then have the power connected to the 12v in the arm rest.

Obviously only plugged in when I need it. Just flip the glove box down when i want to play.

Might look at those controller extenders.

Hey Lenny .. I'm looking at buying the same radio as you. Only just noticed re-reading the thread its the one I want. Been looking for an android auto one.

Only thing is yours doesn't seem to meet the surrounding bezel.. Is this the case or camera shot? Also have you wired up the stem controls?

Sounds good mate, that would be tidy and only live when you want it to be while retaining stealth stock appearance.

Get yourself GranTurismo 4 as it has the Mk2 Focus in the game :)

Drive a focus in your focus,

Here's the seller of the joypad extensions link: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/191002378266

Thanks mate,

Its a Pioneer AVH-8600BT

i had the surround off in a few photos as i had just been removing the headunit,

See fitting guide here for finished item pictures:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/63689-guide-fitting-aftermarket-headunit-mk25-focus-2008-2011/

I've also got the self calibrating mic,

If you would like a loan of it to best calibrate your equaliser settings once installed in your focus as its not somthing you would use very often.

Cheapest supplier of the headunit was Dynamic Sounds in London a staggering 250 euro cheaper than Halfords Ireland last November lol

I probably will buddy. It is either one of these of one of the new AVIC series .. Depends how much bonus I get from work so see how it goes, if its as good as work make out I'll go for an AVIC.

Was the stem hard to wire in?

I've got some of the NFS games already and my favourite, Half-Life. I'll pick up GT4 in my local Cex probably for 50p lol

No was alot easier than it looks mate,

I purchased the full conversion kit from dynamic sounds which came with a steering stalk adaptor and the iso block cable,

I later removed the iso block and hard wired the system using male and female crimp spades,

I done this to reduce bulk at rear of the headunit as ive got 13 RCA plugs in there aswell as three USB connections and the regular cables.

Best way to hard wire is to plug in the iso block that comes with the kit,

Then one by one,

Snip a cable then its corrisponding mate on the opposite side,

Put female spades on the car loom side

And male spades on the headunit side.

When done should look somthing like this

No big plastic box

IMG_20150328_142212_zps1xvvkyqh.jpg

IMG_20150328_203131_zpslc0c7edh.jpg

Eliminated all of this from rear of headunit:

IMG_20150328_203140_zpsiqxzsona.jpg

Haynes manual also helped diagnose cables feeding to front and rear Speakers as i cut them here and spliced in feeds from the amplifier to the Speakers,

Then run a feed from the headunit front speaker output to a plug in th3 boot,

So when amplifier panel is removed i can plug Speakers in to this feed to continue listening via the headunits internal 50w supply.

I've got some of the NFS games already and my favourite, Half-Life. I'll pick up GT4 in my local Cex probably for 50p lol

+1 isn't it mad to see games like that going so cheap now,

Yet back nine years ago people were queuing outside of GameStop at 1am paying 60 quid to get it having put there name down six months previous,

Makes ya wonder Whats it all about.

I'm big fan of the Need For Speed

I have 1,2,3 and Most Wanted thanks to Jamie (JC600) only one im missing is "Black Edition"

Gotta love the dump valve tone lol sounds better than the diesel,

Progress Update:

I've completed the rear De-Wiper mod on the focus and created Guide here:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/70383-guide-de-wiper-ford-focus-mk2-mk25-rear-wiper-removal/page-1#entry483277

Pretty happy with results,

While i had the inner boot panel removed i took the opportunity to fit the SPARCO Tow strap as a boot grab handle today aswell,

see fitting Guide for this item:

Does the steering controls work with this head unit>?

Hi mate,

Yeah an Connects2 aftermarket convertor comes with the aftermarket headunit conversion kit from DynamicSounds,

It continues to retain full functionality,

IMG_20141016_170652_zpsqcgcwgms.jpg

However in the case of the TV tuner; this is not built in to the headunit,

The headunit acts as a monitor in this case and only the volume can be controlled via the steering stalk control,

All other commands are via Xtrons Supplied TV remote,

IMG_20150322_085515_zpstrbtwbfe_edit_142

The steering stalk control even works to allow skipping of music when streaming YouTube from phone via bluetooth or Spotify via bluetooth,

The mode button also cycles through the various source buttons.

The picture quality and the speed of the TV tuner is impressive Lenny. Reckon it would keep everyone entertained on longer journeys. Nicely done buddy :)

How are you finding the signal strength from the wifi Leonard mate?

Its a mod I'm definitely gonna do on the mondeo.

I'm dubious about the 4G claim though, as I've currently been paying an extra 2quid a month for 4G on my Samsung and I honestly don't think I've experienced any '4G' speeds in the 5 or so months I've been paying for it. I'd compare my mobile data speed to dial-up at best. Complete pants. Not as if I'm anywhere rural either so what I'm paying extra for I really do not know :(

Although the router is capable of 4G and is sold as a 4G router I've not got a 4G contract its a 3G bill pay broadband sim I'm operating in it, so i cant comment on the 4G comparison to its predecessor as of yet however it rarely freezes to buffer video streams.

The coverage it picks up is very good and the WiFi signal it broadcasts is receivable within the front of the house when car is in the driveway.

The router has the same WEP key security access as an in house router too, it doesn't have to be free to all I've got mine secured with wep key.

The car wifi routers are not available in Ireland yet neither I've bought mine unlocked from eBay uk and shipped it in via parcel motel.

Id definitely recommend it mate has saved me a lot on phone bill around 30 euro per month saved as i no longer exceed my monthly 1Gb of data allowance when streaming Spotify or YouTube in the car.

Lovin this tune

DJ S.K.T - Take Me Away

When listening in the car the gaps in base gives real dimension to the Speakers,

Ive set crossovers to

Front Speakers 100hz high pass

Rear Speakers 200hz high pass

Sub 50hz low pass

Lenny if you're setting the high pass to 100hz & the low pass to 50 then what's producing 50 to 100hz? Do you just have a gap?

From my understanding at present mate, ive still gotta research

Its anything above the set level doesn't sound from the set location,

So anything above 50hz doesn't go to the sub,

Anything above 100hz doesn't play in the front

And up to 200hz plays in the rear

All comes together

High pass filter is it plays anything above the set frequency.

Low pass filter plays anything below the set frequency.

So you've set it so anything below 50hz goes to the Sub, anything higher than 100hz goes to the front and anything higher than 200hz goes to the rear.

You'll still get all frequencies in all Speakers but certain frequencies will be really attenuated in accordance with the filters

Too many options mate

Ledgend! B)

Ive used the Pioneer calibration mic. But was trying to further build on that,

I want to have lowest sound coming from the front Speakers so everything is built up from the rear to the front
