Laughed my head off watching it but according to them, it did sound good. I do trust them when it comes to music as it is their daily jobs after all. Plus it looks ghetto as hell, which is what makes it even cooler :P

The sub in the tyre will be most popular with the Dub scene and "RAT look" enthusiasts

Torn up boot carpet revealing the sub fitted inside the tyre,

Good to see MCM coming back having had a few months "on the run" i read an article from Moog recently explaining that they had to stop filming in there driveways because every time they tried to film; the whole street turned in to a Gymkhana with enthusiasts strutting there stuff.

There garage then got broken into, all tools cars and bike stolen, trashed the place.

They then resorted to filming in carparks as we saw in one episode.

Followed by performing the gramps build in other specialists garages

There now making a come back at a non disclosed warehouse location with new cars,

I think its appalling that the show has been tarnished by extreme enthusiasts and vandals don't people have respect for an individuals expression of art and creativity particularly those whom share a passion for the modified scene.

Anyway i agree with regards there opinion but I've noticed when they trial tested the sub in the vehicle the track they were playing had alot of highs for a sub to produce those would be quite alien.

But I'm sure there obliged to always tell the truth as they have a whole forum of followers that would turn in to a Mob if they got things wrong lol

I remember back in 2004 there was a fake nitrous purge kit available on the market which connected to the spare tyre,

Link: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/other-exterior-styling-accessories/foliatec-nos-lookalike-purge-kit

It had mist type jets connected to a small tank of water and used the spare tyre for pressure.

I was going to suggest that modification would now be eliminated by fitting a sub in the tyre but i see now there's a Co2 kit that can be topped up in any paintball supply shop lol

Check it out:

https://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=92

Lmao its very Fast&Furious if my motor was petrol id be tempted for a laugh at the traffic lights but would be best fitted to a little Daewoo Matiz or for kA to look as though its running Nitrous and yes it does fit in a Honda

Magazine interview is now live :)

Abroad at the moment so can't see it unfortunately. Good to get some recognition for all the hard work you put it. Will message you soon about that mic as I'm coming to end of my abroad stint. Been investigating a rear display for my car. Quite fancy headrest screens though.

Cheers James,

The Pioneer self calibration mic. Is enclosed in a self addressed return envelope inside a blank envelope ready for shipping :)

Headrest monitors would be much the same principal to install almost easier than a roof mount monitor because it involves the removal of less parts.

Generally just swapping of complete headrests and piggyback fuse in to ignition live in passenger fuse board adding a switch to drivers side OBD pocket if desired

Really appreciate that and i'll forward some money on to ;)

Sure does. I am looking at investing in some complete replacements so that I can cut them up and if it goes wrong ive not ruined the seats. Would be good if I could just swap the headrests with some predone ones but they only seem to come in leather which sucks!!

Plus like all my bits and pieces and with me. When it's had its day in that car. Easy to remove ;)

if you could get two full front seats would be best,

Run cables through the chrome headrest pillars down inside the body of the seat terminated in female sockets hidden underneath the seats themselves,

Would be very tidy,

I can supply torx wrench socket to remove seats if desired,

Purchased from Halfords for less than 8 quid though.

Just P&P on the mic. Would be 6 pound tracked shipping,

The return address is in Newtownabbey Co.Antrim so shouldnt cost that much to return.

I stole the headrests whilst breaking the other car so that I had spares ready for monitors to be fitted [emoji14]

Sounds good to me. Ill message you re cost and what not when I get home. Moneys not a problem.

Got plenty of torx sets to be fair so should be OK there.. Think I'm going to put the male to female connectors under the centre console to keep it clean. Just need to work out where its gonna trail. Shouldnt be too hard! Famous last words

No prob i have it ready to despatch anytime,

The Torx required for the seats are a TX40 and a TX50 i bought them from Halfords in 3/4" Socket wrench form, i wasn't implying you were in any way financially inadequate mate just offering to lend them to save purchase as there not one's likely to be used twice that's all. :)

There's plenty of space inside the kick panels either side of the dash centre,

Also under the centre console,

The carpet is already pre-cut under the seats allowing the rear air ducts through,

If centre console and front seats were removed would be easiest way to route cables.

Then in theory if you had a length of electricians waven conduit pipe that they use for "first fix" putting cables in wall prior to plastering.

Anyways i reckon if you had a length of that;

Pop out one of the headrest sockets and route the waven down through to the bottom of the seat backing.

It should make it easier to route cables inside the chrome headrest pillar which will sit inside the waven conduit housing cables through to bottom of the seat.

May work just an idea.

I know buddy, I was on about cost for postage and if you wanted anything for lending me the microphone. That's all :)

Kick panels sound like a good idea to be fair. And will provide a good area to tuck the cables away. Do you think there will be enough room in the chrome pillars?

I hope I can get the cabelling behind the head unit. There isn't much room left unfortunately. Like you say could find somewhere in the centre to put the majority of cables though.

I had a look at the chrome pillars on mine and they look a bit thin, would need to cut cables run them through and rejoin but 100% possible

Cheers mate, the main picture could have been better if it had front lip still fitted and I don't own the V6 Escort neither does my brother, I linked C2 to my photobucket account and told them to use whatever they like,

Didn't expect to see those as choice but still great to get featured

same here mate,

I had to go library to use a Windows 8 based desktop to view it but we'll worth efforts.

I have some printed copies on the way via post ☺

Think that will probably be the best way to be honest. Might as well bin the male to female ends and just crimp them together. Be tidier I suppose. Got to first get some headrests and then choose my screens. Might have to be a spanned project as the misses won't approve else.

some projects are best dragged out over six months as you find better ways of doing things along the way,

My entertainment upgrade took eight months to piece together but in that time the end results were improved by better planning.

Very very true. It took 3-4 months to justify that the head unit I fitted was the right one for me. So impressed with it now and works a dream!

Got a couple of smaller mods this month, just to keep it ticking along but think externally its about there. Just humming and arring about braking and suspension.

im now wishing i took longer to do some things during the build as im now back on my feet following hip fracture,

returning to work on monday to commence light duties office work for 5 weeks prior to full occupation again which is awesome but ive no hobby left;

theres nothing for me to do with the car,

im now looking at passport and holiday maybe October lol never been out of Ireland in my life,

perhaps become the new Steven Fry and travel the World

Your focus looks great,

two other external well one external and one semi external mods you may also consider I done last May are:

Progress Update:

I've completed the rear De-Wiper mod on the focus and created Guide here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/70383-guide-de-wiper-ford-focus-mk2-mk25-rear-wiper-removal/page-1#entry483277

Pretty happy with results, IMG_20150626_092805_zps3hc0qksr_edit_143

While i had the inner boot panel removed i took the opportunity to fit the SPARCO Tow strap as a boot grab handle today aswell,

see fitting Guide for this item: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/70382-guide-fitting-boot-door-tow-strap-ford-focus-mk2-mk25/?p=482009 IMG_20150806_154250_zpsapxdb4wd_edit_143

Well I've got to pick up some RS lights for the rear and fit then on Wednesday. So theres another afternoon of playing on the car.

I looked at the dewipering but don't know about stripping functionality that's all. It does look better and evens the rear out but can't work out if I'd miss my wiper if I did it. The sparco strap looks good though.

I've got your guide downloaded for the 12v boot install though. £8 sounds a fair cost for that functionality

Forgot to mention.. Also adding the plug and cabelling so that I'll have dual reverse lights a usable rear fog too.

RS tail lights are an excellent modification mate, some sivatec offset pin indicator bulbs would look great in them too.

See Guide here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/43587-guide-fitting-ford-rs-led-rear-light-units-focus-mk25/

It's worth fitting the 12V socket in the boot at the same time because you will have the panel off anyway for fitting the tail lights.

The boot socket has come in very handy for charging my phone while shopping or plugging in the car WiFi router it's at a much more convenient location rather than reaching in to the glovebox or centre console just open the boot door and its there.

yes that modification is one of my favourites really has the wow factor :)

I reversed in to a parking spot outside a glass walled petrol station last night around 22:30 next to a stock black mk2 focus and the dual 55w 6000k white reverse bulbs drew some attention.

Way ahead of you buddy. I've got them both downloaded and I about know them word for word lol. Should be pretty straight forward. Quite looking forward to getting those done to be fair. Been looking for some RS lights for a long time and one of the guys on here was selling a set down the road from me. Couldn't let them go. I am abroad at the moment so will pick them up the day I get back.

You should go travelling buddy. It's good fun. I'd wait until your youngest was about 2-3 before venturing too far. Need to make sure you have a nice break.
