So just to reiterate regarding the Total Flush. Did you drive your car with it in your oil or did you do a flush/drain before it went for its service?

Atomex_Total-Flush-250x250_zpskhiykv07.j

I stopped off on way to garage;

When engine was warm enough and i put the TotalFlush in the oil then continued on to service

around 10 miles driving with TotalFlush in the oil prior to garage draining it.

Atomex_Multi-Cleaner-diesel-250x250_zps4

The MultiClean;

I put in empty fuel tank immediately before filling with 50 litres fuel three weeks prior to service.

Then across the duration of three weeks i drove it to almost empty to flush all contamination through to the existing fuel filter prior to service replacing fuel filter.

very nice build thread mate keep up the good work

Thanks very much Simon mate,

The build is more/less complete now,

Spring 2016 I'll be replacing front and rear bumpers with ST items and sourcing two DVB tv tuner aerials that function inside tinted Windows.

after that it's all been done,

perhaps pick up an ST interior at some point but nothing left to do to it really.

It was fantastic fun and I never anticipated on taking it as far as it has come.

Since the Focus has a 4G Huawei E8278 Car WiFi router installed;

And Clarkson is coming to amazon Prime TV..

I think I'm going to have to purchase an amazon Fire TV stick for the car this Christmas

the headunit has HDMi input and the amazon stick is USB powered 👍

mirror it on front & rear screen via Headunit

Netflix on the road for long journeys y'all 😀

Leonard, you've run out of Photobucket Bandwidth!

I know 😅 people downloading my uploaded in excess of 10GB within the month of October,

photobucket want payment for upkeep of server's from those whom exceed 10GB Bandwidth within month.

It should reset on sunday 1st November

I'm not paying them 4 quid to display them before then as I don't profit from any of it.

Listened to that track in my car and what a corker and that's coming from a true Metal head. I've got one to add but don't know how to do it so look for artist Tieks track Sunshine

Hi Lenny. Tried to message you via PM but it doesn't seem to wanna work.

I have a quick question to ask you. You installed the speaker adaptors in the front and rear of your car to mount your Speakers. I decided to get the same for mine as the hacked off old speaker pod started rattling and it's annoying me. How did you secure it to the door of the car? My kit didn't come with anything else except the black plastic speaker adaptors? I was thinking to buy either some bolts or to use a pop rivet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million.

Hi mate,

I've disabled my PM feature on profile 🙉

it's easier to document answers on public forum

helps reach more people 📈

also saved me repeating myself😧

I can link previous discussions 👍

Anyway,

Back when fitting them in March, Page: 79 of the build thread.

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/41443-taking-oval-to-blue-horizon-lennys-build-thread-2010-2015/?p=470460

i went to my local DIY store,

Purchased:

Eight M6x20mm hexagon head bolts

Eight M6 lock nuts

Sixteen M6 washers

Secured the adaptors in to place.🔩

you will need to drill out existing rivets with a 6mm drill bit,

And secure bolts using a 10mm stubby socket inside door panel while turning tight with a 10mm spanner outside of cavity🔧

IMG_20150327_131635_zpsaeljzl52.jpg

When adaptors were secured tight;

I then used screws that were supplied with Speakers through pilot holes that are pre-drilled in adaptors to secure Speakers,

Above images are of rear speaker adaptors which take three bolts to secure;

Front adapters take four bolts each.

Thanks a million Lenny. Got all the information and will get the bolts from the local hardware shop/Woodies. Just need to find the time and dry weather to drill out the old ones and install the new speaker adaptors. Think it will stop rattling then.

Can I suggest that once any new speaker mounting rings are screwed or bolted to the door that they are then covered in sound deadening stuff. You'll be suprised by the effect it does.

I'm assuming in the mk2 / 2.5 that the speaker pods are riveted to the door? They're screwed on in the mk3.
