Alloy Refurbished..

Yoo, ive got standard Silver Ford Alloy as you can see in the pic.. To save abit of money and so i dont have to declare it to my insurers (im 20, so adding alloys bumps up the price -_- ) i was thinking about having my alloys refurbished and sprayed black. Has any one ever done this, will it look good? People have said if you hit a kerb then the paint will come off, well tbh 1. wont be hitting kerbs and 2. even with black alloy you can still see the dents....

As long as they're the ones that came with the car, they shouldn't be an issue with the insurance company, but best to ask. Powder coat if you can, lasts much longer.

For me, black on black just doesn't work. alloys are a show piece! Choose a colour that will show them off, like white!

Im going for an all black look. Ive tinted my rear lights and going to get windows done too. Standing out can be a good thing but not sure white ones will look good. They might come across abit 'chavy'

dont go black as they will blend in with the car to much go for a gun metal or a dark grey !

I contacted my insurer Admiral about painting my 16" Titanium alloys gloss black and they had no issues with it, no premium increase, nothing, as long as I DECLARED it to them. :)

Anthracite is always a nice colour to go on any car :P
