Ford Fiesta 1.6 Tdci Zetec S (Interior Modifications)

Featured Replies

Hello.

I'm just home from purchasing a black Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCI Zetec S from a dealership and it's a cool looking car. (09)

B)

I'd like to do some interior modifications and when it comes to a car and modifications I'm in uncharted waters as I've never attempted to modify anything in a car before...

I'm wondering what would be a good starting point for me?

*****

Interior Modifications;

Floor mats
Tax disc holder
Armrest (Boomerang recommended)
Colour code silver plastic(s)

Ambient lighting (If wiring is there)

Regarding colour coding silver plastic; would that be painting or wrapping?

Painting

You can also do the footwell lighting if the wiring and holders are in place it's pot look really but a cheap easy mod if they are

I'm thinking red lighting if the wiring is there. I haven't checked yet. I'll be gutted if it isn't.

I wonder what red plastics would look like in a black Zetec S (similar to the interior of a red limited edition V word C word haha).

Just an FYI, we ban members on here for using the the "C" word ;)

And the "V" word too!

Can't tell if that's a joke or not haha! I'll edit the post to be safe.

If the wiring isint their you can follow my guide to putting it their lol aswell as rear footwell lighting and illuminated ignition ring matches the footwell lighting and makes fitting footwell lighting even easier,

Before you look at painting interior parts, have a look at hydro dipping,

You could even remove the front shell of the stereo and have it hydro dipped in a design of your choice,

An ecu remap and 2.5" exhaust aswell as induction filter will bring power up to 120bhp at a total cost of around 550-600pounds while still getting around 54mpg

I Googled hydro dipping and there is a business 11 miles from where I'm at that specialise in it so that's definitely a possibility.

Is it hard to remove the silver plastic?

When I've been mentioning red silver plastic throughout the topic this is something similar to what I had in mind.

(I've removed the picture in the mean time. I want to make sure it's ok to post someone else's picture).

I agree. If I'm going to be using red I think it'll be a similar shade to the Zetec S badge.

Nice ideas to be honest, some of these I've been looking in to myself, only problem is I could do with easy mod's to do as I'm more scared of breaking something lol

That's the same as myself. I've never modified anything on a car before. I'm starting simple, working my way up!

I know what you mean, first thing I will add to my car will be the overlays and that will be a big step for me lol!

I like red and black (thinking about interior of the car). I have a question:

Is it possible to change the colour of the dials inside the car (orange/red)?

Yeah it's best to go black and another colour you plan on having on your car

Not sure if this is of any help: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/36069-removing-speedo-for-changing-lights-colour/
